Taylor Woodrow expects half-year results to be healthy


Taylor Woodrow is expected to report gains across its housing and construction arms, according to the group’s latest trading statement for the first six months of 2004.

 

Prior to the release of its half-year results on 3 August, Taywood revealed that its construction order book now stands at £825m compared to £749m in the same period last year.

 

Operating margins for the group’s housing division across the UK and North America will be comfortably ahead of the proforma 14% achieved during the first half of 2003.

 

The group's UK housing division sold 3,869 homes compared to 2,336 in the same period last year.

The average selling price of Taywood’s UK houses is now £199,100 compared to £187,100 in the first six months of 2003.
