Southern Water Services is seeking contractors to bid for its Asset Management Programme 4 (AMP4), which is estimated to be worth between £750m and £1.5bn over five years.
AMP4 begins in April 2005 and last until March 2010. The framework will be for six years, running into the following AMP5 period. Southern Water may then extend the framework by a further four years depending on performance.
The framework covers design and execution of engineering schemes with MEICA works, usually water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations, as well as water and wastewater treatment process enhancements, possibly including some network infrastructure work.
Typical schemes will be within the £1m to £5m range, though a number will be between £30m and £60m. There may also be one large scheme worth in excess of £250m.
The work will be carried out at sites in Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
