Seventeen to share £200m Islington deal
Seventeen national and regional contractors will share a potential
£200m-worth of housing upgrade work under a partnering deal
with the London Borough of Islington in north London.
The deals, spanning a number of local housing areas, add up to
£25m a year and initially run for four years.
After that time, the contracts could be extended by four more years
or be readvertised to establish a new panel of framework
contractors. The council said its objective is "continuous
improvement and Best Value delivery over the full eight-year
period".
The work spans 26,500 homes and includes internal improvements,
building maintenance and external painting.
