Teenager killed on Sheffield construction site

A teenage worker has been killed on a Sheffield construction site after a 3m deep drainage excavation collapsed in on him.

The dead man, John Morton, 18, an employeee of TG Beighton Ltd, was constructing drainage for a warehousing project in Grimesthorpe when Tuesday's incident occurred.

A colleague with him sustained serious multiple injuries and is currently stable in hospital.
