Ask Developments is looking for two main contractors to bring
current best practice thinking on supply chain management to its
projects.
Ask has an average annual construction spend of £40m to
£50m. It develops large-scale mixed-use schemes in the North
West and Yorkshire.
Ask wants to create integrated project teams incorporating key
members of the supply chain with its design teams.
Contract forms will be developed, including retention alternatives,
project insurance and performance incentives in key areas such as
health and safety.
Ask project manager Andrew Parker said: "We hope to engage with
forward-thinking partners and provide them with involvement in the
development process, which will ensure project-specific benefits to
all parties.
"We envisage other key members of the supply chain being engaged
subsequent to establishing main contractor relationships."
Ask wants its contractors to be aware of stakeholder aims and
expectations, and hopes greater awareness will lead to fewer
snags.
Contractors have until 30 July to express an interest. Ask can be
contacted by email on partnership@ask-dev.co.uk.
