B&CE Benefit Schemes has launched a nationwide employee
presentation programme to inform staff about pension
arrangements.
B&CE regional executives will visit company offices and construction sites free of charge to explain how the EasyBuild stakeholder pension works.
Recent research by B&CE showed that people are confused about pensions and also indicated a preference for face-to-face meetings. B&CE chief executive Brian Griffiths said: "Our own research indicates that this is what people want and need to help them start making sense of their pension arrangements.
"Our experience shows that where we have gone into firms and made presentations there was, on average, an increase of 30% in the number of employees making their own contributions to EasyBuild."

to 9,000 employees before
March 2005.
