GSE plant hire expands with Murston purchase

Construction group GSE has almost doubled its plant hire capacity
with the acquisition of Murston Plant. Both companies are based in
Ashford, Kent.
All affected Murston Plant employees will transfer to GSE, as the company is integrated into a single plant hire business. Murston itself will concentrate on its residential property interests.
GSE Plant managing director Mike Mackman said combining the two companies will be relatively easy and the extra capacity
will allow it to take on larger
contracts and develop new opportunities.
Part of this will come with the fast-track development of Ashford itself and the planned Thames Gateway development.
The GSE group has a £35m turnover and is based at a 1,200m2 facility on Orbital Park Ashford.
The Murston acquisition adds another £2m of turnover and 40 employees.
