DEVELOPMENT OF WASTE MANAGEMENT FACILITIES - ROSS DEPOT, FOLKESTONE, KENT
PREQUALIFICATION
Shepway District Council is introducing a new waste management service to collect dry recyclable materials from 46,000 properties across the District. As part of this service a bulking, baling and storage facility is being developed at the Council's existing depot in Military Road, Folkestone, Kent. The contract involves the alteration of existing steel framed buildings, the demolition of existing structures, the construction of a waste
reception hall, the construction of a new access road, the construction of a discharge platform and waste reception pit, the construction of storage bins and the installation of sorting and baling machinery.
The successful company will be selected on an assessment of the quality and price of their bid
and will be asked to enter into a partnership agreement with Shepway District Council.
