Brandon Hire buys two tool hirers

Brandon Hire has bought U Hire and Hire-It Northern for a total sum of £925,000.

U Hire, acquired for £725,000, has two branches at Ellesmere Port, South Wirral, and Wallasey, Merseyside. Hire-It Northern, acquired for £200,000 has one branch in Bishop Auckland, County Durham.

These purchases bring Brandon Hire's network to 114 branches.

Brandon chief executive Charles Skinner said: "We are pleased to have acquired these well-established businesses with strong local customer bases. We are moving quickly to establish a firm foothold in the North West and U Hire fits well with our recently opened branches in Stockport and Trafford Park. Hire-It is our first venture in the North East."

Brandon has also opened a branch in Leeds and shortly open a branch in Glasgow.
