SELECT LIST OF CONTRACTORS FOR MAJOR IMPROVEMENT
WORKS TO HOUSING STOCK THROUGH PARTNERING
CONTRACTS
Teign Housing invites applications from suitably experienced companies who wish to be considered
for selection as Partnering Contractors for planned improvement works to existing housing stock.
Teign Housing has undertaken a stock condition survey of their properties and is committed to spending in excess of £20m on improvements to their housing stock over the next four years.
Teign Housing is intending to establish strategic partnerships with suitable Contractors to carry out the improvement works.
The improvement works partnerships are being sub-divided into:-
1) External works to properties with the minimum impact on the tenants i.e. window replacement, roof replacement, re-decorations and general external repairs;

2) Internal works that may cause limited disruption but not require decanting of the properties i.e. kitchen and bathroom upgrading, electrical and heating works.
The intention is to have two constructor partners for each sub division and those partners will work together with the Client team to achieve continuity of work load and achievement of targets set out in Teign Housing's Business Plan.
The successful partners must be keen to follow Partnering ideals and work to ensure benefits for Teign Housing, the tenants and themselves.
The intention of Teign Housing is to have an agreement for Strategic Partnership but individual contracts will be let to a maximum value of approximately £2 million.
It is anticipated that the Partnership will commence refurbishment works from early 2005.
