Standing Lists of Contractors for Construction, Civil Engineering & Road Maintenance Contracts under £200,000
Applications are invited from suitably experienced contractors (Quality Assured where applicable) with the necessary technical and financial resources who wish to be considered for inclusion on Standing Lists of Contractors for contracts valued under £200,000 for the following categories of work:
M1 Carriageway Works (Bituminous)
M2 Footway Works (Which may include lighting works)
M3 Surface Dressing *
M4 Bituminous Recycling
M5 Slurry Surfacing & Micro Surfacing
M6 Carriageway Retexturing
M7 Drainage Works & Maintenance of Watercourses
M8 Road Markings and Studs *
T1 Pedestrian Crossings & Traffic Signals: Civil Engineering Works
T2 Pedestrian Crossings & Traffic Signals Equipment: Supply, Electrical Installation and Maintenance
T3 Installation of Inductive Loops
T4 Supply & Erection of Traffic Signs #
T5 Coloured & Anti-Skid Surfacing
C1 General: Civil Engineering Works
C2 General Bridgeworks
C3 Bridges: Concrete Repairs
C4 Bridges: Maintenance Painting
C5 Safety Fencing *
C6 Ground Investigation
C7 Marine Works
C8 Townscape Improvements
L1 Installation of New Street Lighting
* Contractors must be Quality Assured to BS EN ISO 9001:2000
# The manufacture of signs must be carried out within a Quality Assured system to BS EN ISO 9001:2000
Contractors who wish to be considered for inclusion on any of the above Standing Lists should apply in writing to Angus Council, Roads Department, County Buildings, Forfar, Angus, DD8 3WR no later than Friday 27 August 2004 indicating the categories of work for which they wish to apply. Contractors presently on the Angus Council Roads Department Standing Lists are not required to respond to this advertisement.
It is anticipated that the new Standing Lists will be approved for use commencing on 25 November 2004, after which invitations to tender will be extended to contractors selected from the appropriate Standing Lists as and when the works are required.
