SELECT LIST OF TENDERERS
(Under Partnering Agreement)
INTERNATIONAL SKATE PLAZA AT PRISSICK CENTRE
Applications are invited from suitably experienced constructors, with the appropriate technical capabilities and financial resources, who wish to be considered for inclusion on the Council's Select List of Tenderers to act as Constructor. The works comprise the construction of an international standard skate plaza at Prissick Sport and Recreation Centre in Middlesbrough.
It is anticipated that the works will be carried out under a Partnering Agreement using PPC 2000, with an estimated overall construction value of £0.4m. It is anticipated that a suitable Constructor will be appointed in late 2004 and the works will commence during April 2005. The Constructor would be required to participate
fully within an integrated team prior to actual works on site.
The criteria for the award of contract will be based on an assessment of cost, quality, previous experience (including partnering) and sustainability.
Applicants must include the following information in their application:
* If a Company, proof of enrolment on a professional trade register, or register of Companies in the Country in which the Contract is established.
* Financial status and Bankers Statement.
* Balance sheets/accounts for the past 3 financial years, including a statement of turnover on building work.
* Previous experience in any projects under a Partnering Agreement, or their proposals for the Partnering process.
* A list of projects involving the provision of skate or other related leisure facilities, carried out during the past 5 years, the value and site of each job, the organisation for whom executed and accompanied by certificates of satisfactory execution for the most important works.
* Evidence of the Contractors contribution to Sustainability issues.
* Evidence of the Contractor's educational and professional qualifications and those of the firm's managerial staff and, in particular, those of the persons responsible for carrying out the works.
* Statement of the support services which the Contractor can call upon for carrying out the work, whether or not they belong to the firm.
* Statement of the firm's annual average manpower and the number of managerial staff for the last three years.
* Statement of the Company's Health and Safety performance during the last 5 years.
Interested Contractors should submit the above details to the Head of Transport & Design Services, (Code PSP), Middlesbrough Council, PO Box 65, Vancouver House, Central Mews, Gurney Street, Middlesbrough TS1 1QP to arrive not later than noon on 27 August 2004.
