Finnpave adapts Bitelli road planer for GWJ Contractors

Finnpave, the specialist surfacing division of Finning UK, has delivered the UK's first Bitelli SF200 LE road planer to GWJ Contractors.
GWJ Contractors manager Gordon Brown said: "The Bitelli is a huge benefit to our operation as it's highly manoeuvrable and will enable operators to mill quickly and accurately, which is a big advantage in urban areas."
Finnpave has modified the machine to allow it work at a much tighter radius by inserting hydraulic sliders to the drum door that retract when going around corners.
Previously, the company said, the door could sometimes drag on the milled surface when working on extremely tight corners.
