Footbridges in Guildford and Ashford

Works to Three Footbridges in Guildford and Ashford, Surrey
Applications are sought from suitably experienced contractors wishing to be included on a select list of tenderers for the demolition, construction, erection and alteration of footbridges over the railway in the County of Surrey.
The works will include :
* Design and fabrication of steel footbridge structures
* Demolition of an existing footbridge
* Piling for foundations
* In situ reinforced concrete works
* Erection of steel footbridges and enclosures during track possessions.
Applications should be accompanied by :
* A full up to date set of audited accounts for the last three years.
* Details of organisational structure including qualifications of key personnel.

* Company Health & Safety policy. Contractors who have previously been accepted on Surrey County Council's Standing List of Contractors need not submit further health and safety details. Other contractors should request a copy of the appropriate questionnaire from the above address (Tel 020 8541 7318) for return with their application.
* Details of similar work undertaken in the last 5 years.
* Names and addresses of at least two technical referees for recent works of a similar nature and scale. It is essential that contractors have experience of similar work within the Railway environment.
* It will be a requirement of the contract that the Principal Contractor has in place a valid Full Contractors Assurance, for works in association with the railway.

It is anticipated that tender documents will be issued by mid-September 2004 and the contract awarded for commencement on 15 October 2004.
