Connaught has expanded its position in Wales through two acquisitions, costing a total of £1.6m. Both are based in Caerphilly and provide gas, heating and maintenance services to the social housing sector.
Gas Care employs 220 people and provides services to local authorities throughout Wales.
Building Services Training (BST) offers skills training for gas, heating and electrical engineers and is the largest such facility in Wales, preparing over 500 people a year for employment.
Mark Tincknell, Connaught chief executive, said: “These acquisitions will provide Connaught with a strong platform in Wales to support the delivery of the Welsh Housing Quality Standard for which expenditure is expected to be around £3bn over the next seven years.”
