EU CONTRACT NOTICE
BLOCK SECURITY & ENVIRONMENTAL
IMPROVEMENT CONTRACT -
BARTON HILL, BRISTOL.
Applications are invited from companies wishing to
undertake the above contract. This project is funded
through the Government Office of the South West under
the "New deal for Communities" Scheme. It is part of £50
million of improvement works covering the Barton Hill area
of Bristol and relates to the environmental improvement
and security requirements of the project. The contract will
be for the provision of defined spaces around a number of
tower blocks, formation of new home-zoned roads across
the estate, forming a new village green and providing car
park controlled access points. The work will also include
car park control equipment, refurbishment work,
environmental improvements and village green planting,
together with the provision of play equipment and fencing.
The selected contractor will be appointed towards the end
of the year and will be required to join a team to further
develop the project. The work will also include co-ordinating
with a previous phase of the project, installing
CCTV cameras throughout the estate.
It is possible that the scope of the project may be extended.
