Caterpillar launches final B-series range telehandler

Caterpillar has completed its eight model B-series telehandler range with the launch of the TH580B.
Available in the UK from the end of the year, the TH580B is the largest machine in Cat's range and has 5t-rated capacity and a maximum lift height of 17m.
The telehandler is offered in two configurations - construction and construction plus - allowing customers to match specification and equipment attachment levels to their requirements.
Powered by a Tier II-compliant Cat 3054E diesel engine with an output of 74.5kW, the machine has a fully synchronised four-section boom with load sensing hydraulics.
Cat said the TH580B has been built around a durable main frame and has a side-mounted engine layout that allows for all-round visibility and easy servicing.
