Walsall thumbs-up

The £130m Walsall Manor Hospital scheme is up and running after the Birmingham and Black Country Strategic Health Authority gave its blessing this week.
A women and children's centre, diagnostic and treatment centre and multi-professional education centre will be created.
A preferred bidder is expected by July 2005 with construction due to start in September 2006.
