Liebherr truck debuts for Lafarge

The first Liebherr HTM 1204S 10m3 capacity articulated truck mixer has been delivered to the Lafarge Readymix fleet.
This new generation of mixer is fitted with UK road regulation running gear. Weightlifter Traders of Scunthorpe has mounted the mixer to a six-axle articulated combination with a Scania tractor unit.
Lafarge said it chose the Liebherr unit for the rapid loading and discharging action, and because it combines optimum mixing action and maximum
load capacity.
The Liebherr mixer has a pedestal frame design that is said to ensure the drum height and centre of gravity are low, maximising traction and stability.
A lifting tag axle on the trailer and an adjustable chassis frame height are said to complement these features.
