IR Montebert designs dual-fitting breaker

IR Montebert is claiming a world first with its Silver Clip range of light hydraulic breakers for carriers ranging from 700kg to 7t. The breakers are designed to be fitted with either a bucket or a vibrating plate.
The Clip Bucket's flange is mechanically attached to the bottom of the housing and locked with a retaining pin. This breaker and bucket combination enables the operator to clear debris using the same machine without additional equipment.
The vibrating plate is attached using the same method. The breaker provides the vibrations for compacting without additional hydraulic connections. This allows the operator to dig a trench, refill the excavation and compact it with the same tool.
The company claims the cylindrical design of the breakers allows access to difficult spots without overheating. It also said that soundproofing in the breaker is outstanding, as the striking assembly is not in direct contact with the housing.
Disassemby of the hammer takes under five minutes, without the need for specialist tools.
