Gleeson venture further into PFI

Gleeson has shown its intention to strengthen its position in PFI with the establishment of new dedicated company.

The contractor already has a long established track record in PFI having signed 16 deals in the capacity of both investor and constructor since 1996. It has been involved in the health, education, courts, custodial, infrastructure and housing sectors.

Colin Rossiter, formerly divisional PFI manager with the Group's Northern Construction Division, will spearhead the operation as managing director. He will be responsible for identifying PFI opportunities, co-ordinating bids for contracts and managing the Group’s equity investments in PFI projects.

A name for the new company, which will have a core team of seven, is expected to be unveiled next month.
