ROAD MAINTENANCE ANNUAL CONTRACTS 2005/2006
Tenders are invited for the execution of the
works, supply and lay of materials etc. as
specified herunder for a period of 12 months,
commencing 1 April 2005.
1. Surface and planing
2. Reinstatement of trenches, patching and
footway surfacing using rolled asphalt and coated
macadam
3. Proprietary processes
4. *Road markings
5. **Surface dressing
6. Reflective roadstuds
7. Micro-surfacing and slurry surfaching
8. Traffic sign supply, erection and maintenance
9. Jetting and CCTV camera surveys
*Contractors require to be Quality Assured and
certified by an accredited third party to BS EN
ISO 9002:2000.
**Contractors require to be Quality Assured and
certified by an accretied third party to BS EN
ISO 9002:2000 or be able to provide documentary
evidence that they are working towards such
certification.
Contractors wishing to be considered should
forward their application together with details
of:
1. Categories for which they wish to be considered, and
2. A valid cheque payable to Perth & Kinross Council at £35 per category.
Contractors are also required to submit details
of Construction Line and Contractors Health and
Safety Scheme (CHAS) registration.
1. The names and addresses of three referees for each category, and
2. The most recent set of audited accounts available.
If not CHAS registered or registration is not
current then contractors are required to complete
the council's pre-tender health and safety
questionnaire. Copies of the questionnaire can be
obtained by contacting Andy Anderson,

All the above to be returned to the Construction
and Maintenance Manager, Perth & Kinross Council,
Planning & Transportation, The Atrium, 137 Glover
Street, Perth PH2 0HY quoting reference MM/GC12
no later than Friday 8 October 2004.
Tenders shall be subject to Value Assessment and
the tender documents (including a Value
Assessment questionnaire) will be issued on or
before Friday 12 November 2004 with an
anticipated date of return of Friday 10 December
2004.
The council is not bound to accept the lowest or
any tender and reserves the right to accept the
whole or part of any tender.
