Wrekin is chuffed at rail deal
Wrekin has beaten three contenders to bag a £20m design and
construct deal from Network Rail.
The contract involves the assessment, design and implementation of
pollution measures at 21 maintenance depots throughout northern
England and Wales.
The deal includes replacement tanks, reconstructing apron slabs,
repairing bunding, plus the replacement and repair of separators
and interceptors.
Work on site gets under way in November and will run for
three-and-a-half years. Network Rail has left bids from Bethel,
Murphy and C Spencer in
the sidings.
