Mears lands plum Mears Group

Stuart Black is moving to Mears Group as chief operating officer.

Currently group business development director with Mouchel Parkman, Black will take over day-to-day responsibility for the operational activity of Mears on 15 November.

Black, 40, has worked in support services organisations for over 20 years. Previous directorships include Citex Professional Services and Citex Project Delivery.

Mears provides a range of services to social landlords including response maintenance, void refurbishment, planned preventative maintenance and improvements to meet the government’s Decent Homes Standard.

Mears was listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in 1996 and has grown turnover since then at 43% a year.
