Roundabout construction - Surrey County Council

Roundabout on A25, Merrow
It is intended to invite tenders from five selected contractors for the
construction of a 60 m diameter roundabout on the A25 at Merrow,
Surrey to provide access to a new Park & Ride site and golf course.
The work includes 5,300 sq m of new carriageway construction,
drainage, signing, safety fencing, street lighting and other related works.
Construction is planned to start on site in February 2005 and be
completed by Summer 2005.
Contractors seeking inclusion on the Select List of Tenderers are
required to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire, which
will be dispatched from 6th October 2004. The closing date
for requests for the questionnaire is 13th October 2004.
All questionnaires must be returned no later than 12 noon on 30th
October 2004.
The questionnaire will require details such as the contractor's
financial standing, technical competence, management resources,
similar work undertaken and references.
Invitations to tender will be dispatched on 4th November 2004,
and must be returned no later than 12 noon on 1st December 2004.
The conditions of contract will be based on the Civil Engineering
5th Edition.
