TENDER FOR SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR ROADWORKS
1 APRIL 2005 - 31 MARCH 2008
The County Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified
companies for inclusion on a select tender list for the above. Details
of the tender are given below and companies should submit the
information requested in paragraph 4.

2. Details of the Work
The works comprise minor highway improvements and associated
works including carriageway and footway paving, drainage, traffic signs,
roadmarkings and fencing in Hampshire.The selected tenderers will
be invited to submit rates for a range of standard work items.
These will be used throughout the 2005/2008 period to short-list
contractors for invitation to tender for individual works orders
evaluated on the basis of the submitted rates together with
job-specific supplementary bills of quantities. Individual works
orders will vary in value between £15,000 and £200,000.
The value of the programme of works to be procured through this
process is estimated to be £2million per annum for the three years.

grouping of service providers winning the contract
Joint and several liability.
4. Information to be provided with the application
Details of the company.
Company registration number.
Copies of the last two years company accounts.
Details of works of a similar nature carried out in the last three
years giving the value of each contract.
Names and addresses of two technical referees, preferably
local authority.
Copy of Insurance Certificates for £10m public liability and
£10m employers liability.
Copy of the Company Health & Safety Policy.
Copy of Quality Assurance certificate complying to
BS EN ISO 9000 series.
A parent company guarantee may be required at award stage.
Applications to arrive no later than 28th October 2004.
Tender documents will be sent out around 22nd November 2004
to approximately 5-15 companies and should be returned by
2:00pm on 10th January 2005.The tenders will be opened by
authorised officers of the Chief Executive's Department.
5. Criteria for the award of the Contract
The most economically advantageous tender in terms of price
and delivery times.
