Billington and Taywood head CJ Awards winners


Eleven hundred guests witnessed Billington Structures and Taylor Woodrow collect a pair of trophies each at the Contract Journal Construction Industry Awards 2004 at London's Grosvenor House Hotel last week.
Billington was named Specialist Contractor of the Year and picked up the IT Award at the event, which was compered by Terry Wogan.
Taylor Woodrow won the Marketing & Business Develop-ment Award and also scooped the Long-Term Partnership Award as part of the Strategic Alliance Partnership, which includes NG Bailey, Staveley Services and Rotary Group.
The Silver Helmet Award for Safety was won by Clugston Construction. Building Contractor of the Year went to Carillion Building. Edmund Nuttall was named Civil Engineering Contractor of the Year.
