Two submit bids for £340m Plymouth PFI
At least two contractors are hoping to gain admission to a delayed
£340m PFI deal to upgrade Plymouth's Derriford Hospital and to
build a new care centre.
Impreglio and Multiplex have sent in prequalification bids and are
expected to be joined by Amey.
The scheme was initially put on hold last year.
An insider told CJ: "That was due to a shortage of bidders and NHS
bureaucracy."
The Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust hopes to name its preferred bidder
towards the end of
next year.
