Weaver offers gong for Stourbridge HNC students
Weaver is offering a Best Student of the Year award for those
studying for the HNC in construction and the built environment at
Stourbridge College.
The Midlands-based contractor's award will be given to a first year
student at the end of the academic year and will recognise depth of
knowledge, understanding and application of the course to industry.
The HNC is a two-year higher technician course, preparing students
to go on to study for the Chartered Institute of Building's
qualification or a BSc in the
professions.
Weaver design and development director Andrew Tomlinson said:
"Construction is not
simply a craft-based option,
there is also huge scope for students with an academic leaning who
can develop successful careers in the allied professions and
operational or financial
management.
"The aim of this award is to encourage students to go that extra
mile and aim for excellence in their studies."
