Anglian Water Services has today (Monday) signed contracts with six teams to deliver £750m of capital works over the next five years as part of the industry's AMP4 frameworks.
The teams are: Balfour Beatty Utilities; Barhale Construction; Biwater Treatment; Black & Veatch; Carl Bro Group; and a Skanska Construction/Aker Kvaerner Engineering Services joint venture.
In addition EC Harris will be appointed as facilitation consultant and Turner and Townsend will be cost assurance consultant.
Chris Newsome, director of asset management at Anglian, said: "The key challenges for the alliance will be in delivering a comprehensive set of obligations and achieving stretching efficiency targets set by the regulator, Ofwat, and ensuring that Anglian Water is favourably positioned for the next periodic review in 2009."
