Xmas Cheer in short supply Nearly half of respondents to the latest CJ Question are expecting their employer to throw them a Christmas party this year. |
|
In the wake of last week's news about Hanson Managing Director Patrick O'Shea's warning to staff to cut expenses, including Christmas parties, CJ asked what its readers are expecting this Christmas from their employers. The survey revealed that about a quarter (26%) work for would-be Scrooges - the respondents expect absolutely nothing at all. Slightly more than a tenth (11%) are looking forward to a departmental party, while a lucky 8% will get a bonus. Just 4% will receive a present, while a very unfortunate 4% of the respondents will get their P45s as a cruel reminder of the cost of the festive season.
