Norwest Holst awarded £5.5m deal to upgrade Southampton college

Norwest Holst Construction has been awarded a £5.5m contract by Barton Peveril College in Southampton.

The contract includes the design and construction of a two-storey teaching accommodation block and the refurbishment of existing changing rooms and teaching space.

The new building in Eastleigh will include a sports hall, studio theatre, performance studios, dance studio, fitness suite, musical recital room, recording rooms and associated ancillary accommodation.

Work will be undertaken within a live college campus in three phases with the overall programme being 59 weeks.
