Cleveland Bridge has received its third and fourth adjudication awards against Multiplex, totalling £500,000.
The latest award brings the total owed by Multiplex to Cleveland Bridge, the Darlington based specialist steel fabricator and construction company, in the ongoing dispute on the Wembley project to £2,480,980. The adjudications arose after Multiplex initiated proceedings against Cleveland Bridge citing that the subcontractor owed the main contractor £14m.
The £1,950,980 owed by Multiplex against the first two adjudication awards has been paid. Cleveland expects, as prescribed by the adjudicator, for the £500,000 awarded today to be paid during the course next week. A further adjudication result is expected next week.
Cleveland Bridge has today served its claim against Multiplex for £21m through the Court of Technology and Construction.
