Firestone's radial roll-out

Firestone has added a 20in radial telehandler tyre to its range - a 400/70R20. The R8000 utility tyre is said to be ideal for smaller telehandlers and to offer an optimum balance of grip, wear life and stability.
An extra-wide tread arc and thick sidewalls are said to give improved lateral stability, minimise tilt (even with the machine's arm extended) and increase safety.
Firestone's marketing manager Barry Coleman said that, with telehandlers' increasing popularity, as well as the range of tasks they undertake, the extra stability and other benefits that radial tyres can offer are worth the price premium.
