Bamford splits top job at JCB

Sir Anthony Bamford will relinquish his position as managing director of JCB from 1 December, in favour of chief executive John Patterson.
Sir Anthony, who succeeded his father in 1975, will continue as JCB chairman and will remain actively involved in the business.
Commenting on the decision, Sir Anthony said: "This change in responsibilities is recognition of the excellent job John Patterson has done in leading the team."
Patterson joined JCB as a service manager in 1971 and has held a number of jobs within the company.
He is a past president of the Federation of Manufacturers of Construction Equipment and Cranes.
