Gleeson targets smaller works with Parallel Projects Southern
Gleeson's southern construction division has launched a new
department called Parallel Projects Southern to bid for smaller
projects of up to £5m, a market that Gleeson has so far
ignored.
With a low minimum project value of £500,000, the new
department will tender for building and refurbishment work in
London and the Home Counties.
"We wanted another string to our bow," said Dave Cook, managing
director of Gleeson's southern construction division.
Previously, Gleeson had either not bothered to respond to potential
clients with sub-£5m schemes or had referred them to
someone else.
"We've had to radically rethink our approach," said John Marchant,
one of the two leaders of Gleeson's new department.
