Galliford Try has been awarded a £8.9m project to construct a Cold War Aviation Museum for the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford in Shropshire.
This landmark building in Shifnal, the first in the world with a specialist Cold War Theme, will comprise the construction of an innovative steel framed aluminium clad hangar with 7,000 m2 of floor space to house and protect rare and unique aircraft, together with an ancillary area containing a lecture theatre and classrooms.
Galliford Try will commence with construction on site later this month, with completion anticipated for autumn 2006.
