Crispin & Borst locked in for £5.6m prison deal

Crispin & Borst has been awarded a £5.6m contract by HM Prison Service to demolish and rebuild a number of buildings at HMP Canterbury.

A fully functional temporary modular chapel building will be provided and three new two and three storey buildings built in phases to provide a new chapel, education and visitors buildings.

Refurbishment and alterations will also be made to additional prison buildings including the admin building, officers mess, reception centre and gatehouse.

The contract is due for completion in December 2007.
