Demolition Works to Former Hospital in South East London

Applications are sought from suitably experienced contractors wishing
to be included on a select list of tenderers for the demolition of a
former Hospital in South East London.

Building Description
A former hospital, over four storeys plus basement car park, built
between 1966 and 1976. Between each floor is a service sub-floor of
low head height. The main floor space including the lower ground
floor car park, but excluding the service levels is circa 61,560
sq.m. The overall site area is approx 3 hectares.

The works currently anticipated will include:
* Asbestos stripping out and disposal

* Demolition of existing hospital and associated buildings
* Breaking out of existing basements and external paved areas
* Temporary works
* Backfilling of basement voids
* Services identification, termination and relocation
* Site hoarding and fencing
* Formation of permanent site access

Applications should be accompanied by:
* Full company details
* A full up to date set of audited accounts for the last three years
* Turnover in respect of similar services for last three years
* Details of organisation structure including qualifications of key personnel
* Company Health and Safety policy
* Accident record for the last five years
* Details of any Improvement or Prohibition Notices received within
past five years
* Details of similar work undertaken in the last five years.
* Details of any work you intend to sub-contract
* Names and addresses of at least two technical references for recent
works of a similar nature and scale
* Copy of current waste carriers and asbestos removal licences
* Copies of current insurances

It is anticipated that tender documents will be issued in January
2005 and the contract awarded for commencement in March 2005.
