Worker suffers spinal injuries on Bognor site


A 35-year-old man is still in hospital today (Friday) two days after an accident at a building site in Bognor Regis town centre.

The construction worker suffered suspected spinal injuries when he became trapped by wood which had fallen on him on the second floor of the site in Richmond Road.

Fire crews worked with paramedics to place the casualty in a basket stretcher and he was brought down to the ground using an aerial ladder platform brought in from Worthing.

The man was is still in St Richard's Hospital in Chichester where he is undergoing further treatment.
