A1058 BLUE HOUSE EAST BRIDGE GEOTECHNICAL
INVESTIGATION
Applications are invited from suitably experienced Specialist Geotechnical
Contractors wishing to be considered for
inclusion on a select list of Tenderers
for the above project.
The work will comprise:
* Fieldwork including boreholes, CPTs, OCPs, and trial pits undertaken within
traffic management on the A1058 Coast Road or restricted space beneath Blue
House East Bridge.
* UKAS and MCERTS accredited laboratory testing.
* Production of both factual and interpretive reports.
The estimated value of the works is between £50,000 and £80,000 and it is
anticipated that tenders will be issued in March 2005 with work programmed to

start in April 2005.
Applicants are required to submit:
1. Details of organisation structure and human resources
2. Details of similar projects carried out
3. A list of local authority clients from which
two technical referees will be selected
4. Evidence of acting in the role of Principal Contractor under the 1994 CDM
Regulations on similar schemes and a copy of the Health and Safety Policy
5. Details of quality assurance certification
6. Details/statement on staff training and numbers registered on the
Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)
7. Name and address of the company's banker and a copy of the last three
years audited accounts
8. Insurance details and confirmation of Public Liability Insurance of at least
£5,000,000.
