Mitie scoops five year Wigan Council scheme
Mitie has beaten off five rivals to land a maintenance and
refurbishment deal in the North West potentially worth
£24m.
The Wigan Council scheme features around 300 local authority-owned
properties, including the town hall, libraries and leisure
facilities.
The deal is worth £3m a year and initially will run for five
years. But, depending on performance, there is the option to extend
the contract by a further three years.
The work includes responsive and emergency maintenance, plus
planned general maintenance and refurbishment tasks.
