Willmott Dixon Construction has awarded a £5m contract to build a new two-storey clinical facility within the Princess Alice Hospice in Surrey.
The work at Cobham involves demolition of an existing hospice wing, which will begin immediately and take four weeks, with work on the new facility set for final completion in summer 2006.
Princess Alice Hospice chief executive Nicholas Ratsey said “This new development is fundamental to the future of the Hospice as it enables us to improve the clinical facilities and support more patients within the building and the community."
The rest of the project team is made up of Jacobs Babtie, structural engineer, and Devereux, architect.
