Warings takes on £47m Sussex housing scheme
Portsmouth firm Warings has the key to a £47.6m PFI housing
deal in West Sussex. The firm starts work this week on building 12
residential care homes in West Sussex under a partnering deal
between the county council and Shaw Healthcare.
The deal kicks off with a 90-bed home at Ifield, Crawley, on the
site of the old Deerswood School. A second care home is also
planned in Crawley - on the site of the Burleys Wood homes at
Furnace Green - as part of the three-and-a-half-year project.
The scheme involves a total of 770 rooms for elderly people.
Gardiner Theobald is the project manager for the entire scheme.
