TubeLines advertises £1m plant hire contract

TubeLines wants plant hirers to pitch for at least three framework contracts worth £1m.

The consortium, which is responsible for the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines of the London Underground, needs general small tools and plant, including: cranes, excavators/loaders, tipper lorries, dumper trucks, generators and compressors.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 16 May. Between four and six firms will be invited to tender by 7 June. The frameworks will run until September 2010
