A-Plant snaps up Howard Plant assets

A-Plant has acquired the plant and tool hire business of Poole based Howard Plant for a consideration of £436,467, subject to an inspection of the assets.
The deal doesn’t include the skip hire business, which will remain with the vendors and move to a new location.
Deferred consideration will be payable based on the next 12 months hire income arising from the assets being acquired, subject to a minimum of £20,000.
Turnover of the business was approximately £600,000 in the year to 31 March 2005.
According to A-Plant, the acquisition complements the company’s south coast businesses in Fareham, Southampton and Weymouth.
