Finning wins Imerys tender

Finning has won a tender to supply Imerys Minerals with eight new machines, including a Cat 775 dump truck and a Cat 990II wheel loader to be used at a clay extraction site in St Austell, Cornwall.
Finning said it reviewed the company's extraction process and created a number of operational scenarios via its Fleet Production Analysis (FPS) software programme. This determined which fleet would provide optimum production within the desired owning and operating period.
Strategic account manager Robert Powell said: "An integral part of our work was to forecast anticipated wear rates of the ground engaging tools. Through careful analysis, major improvements in productivity and cost effectiveness have been achieved."
