Lansdowne Road stadium scheme pushes forward
The £192m redevelopment of Dublin's Lansdowne Road stadium for
the Irish rugby team has moved closer to realisation with the
appointments of a project management and design teams.
Project Management, one of Ireland's biggest specialist consultancy
and project management firms, has scooped the project management
role in a consortium with Capita Symonds, Franklin & Andrews,
KMCS and Berger Devine Yaeger.
HOK Sports is heading up the design team, which also features Scott
Tallon Walker, Buro Happold and M-E Engineers.
The Lansdowne Road Development Company will now launch a planning
application in December and contractors will be invited to express
interest in the construction deal via an advertisement to be posted
in the OJEU.
Given a fair wind, work on site will start towards the end of 2006.
