Milnathort Flood Prevention
Scheme
Perth and Kinross Council invites expressions of interest from
suitably experienced contractors for inclusion on a tender list for
the construction of the Milnathort Flood Prevention Scheme.
The Milnathort Flood Prevention Scheme will provide flood defences to
Milnathort, providing protection from inundation from the Back Burn.
It consists of
* Approximately 35m of underpinning to existing wall
* Approximately 60m of repairs and repointing of masonry wall
* Demolition of approximately 66m of wall
* Approximately 75m of new wall
* Installation of flap valves
* Raising the height of existing wall and construction of new

wall in random rubble masonry
Contractors wishing to be considered should forward their application
together with details of:
1. current Construction Line registration, and
2. current Contractors Health and Safety Scheme (CHAS) registration.
Only Contractors that have a current Construction Line registration
will be considered.
If not CHAS registered then contractors are required to complete the
Council's pre-tender health and safety questionnaire. In addition all
contractors need to provide information as detailed in the Tenderer
Selection Procedure. Copies of the procedure can be obtained from

It is intended that no more than six contractors will be chosen for
inclusion on a select tender list. The Council will consider the
information provided by the companies in response to this advert when
making an assessment of suitability. A response to this advert does
not guarantee an invitation to tender.
