Britannia secures new deals worth £21m

Montpellier Group subsidiary Britannia Construction has secured new contracts worth £21m.

Tesco has awarded four contracts collectively valued in excess of £15.5m for the extension and refurbishment of stores in Swindon, Midsomer Norton, Worcester and New Milton.

The retail theme is maintained with a further three non-food developments including two new units for Morbaine Limited in Evesham at £1.2m, the refurbishment of existing units at Talbot Green Retail Park in Llantrisant for Deutsche Bank at £2.15m and the construction a new car showroom shell for Honda at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol worth in excess of £1m.

Managing Director of Britannia Construction, Mike Bishop, said: “These new contracts represent a very good balance between repeat business for our long-established clients and work for new customers.

"The retail market remains very strong and we are seeing evidence of renewed confidence in the wider private commercial market.  It looks like being a very busy summer.”
